As part of this renewable energy project update for our Poland-based development in gmina Olsztynek, we’re pleased to report the completion of two further technical studies required under the ongoing environmental permitting procedure: the acoustic impact analysis and the landscape impact analysis for the planned PV and battery storage (BESS) project.
The acoustic study modeled all planned equipment — including the PV inverters, transformer stations, and the battery energy storage system — under continuous full-load operating conditions. Calculated noise levels at every assessed location, including the nearest protected residential areas, remained within the limits set by Polish environmental noise regulations, both during day and night hours.
The landscape study assessed the project’s siting within the Obszar Chronionego Krajobrazu Lasów Taborskich and Obszar Chronionego Krajobrazu Doliny Pasłęki, using the methodology recommended by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection (GDOŚ). It concluded that the project will not cause significant negative impact on the conservation objectives of either protected landscape area, with ecologically sensitive areas identified on site excluded from the development footprint.
Both studies form part of the full environmental impact report (raport OOŚ) for the solar project in gmina Olsztynek, which remains on track for submission in October 2026.
